As I promised in my latest post I collected all the beaches we’ve been visited in the 10 days.
Unfortunately the east coast (Atlantic ocean) was full with seaweed and also not recommended to swim there because of the strong waves and stream. The west coast (Caribbean sea) was calm and much cleaner from seaweed.
Caribbean Sea
Dover beach
This was the first beach we visited on the Caribbean side. The sea was really really calm and the water was warm. You can easily spend a full day here. There are restaurants and shops around and you can rent a sunbed if you would like to.

Worthing Beach
This beach was one of my favourite. Well, none of the beaches were crowded, but this was so calm and peaceful. We spotted a couple of turtles here, quite close to the shore, but they swim fast so we couldn’t capture them.

Miami Beach
We went to eat our first flying fish burger here and had a walk around. The beach was a bit crowded – comparing to the others.

Needhams Point
I can say, this beach is the number 1. We loved it! We wanted to visit a lighthouse, however we had to look around carefully. It is next to the Hilton hotel, you can easily miss it, if you don’t know that there is actually a lighthouse.
When we arrived, we didn’t even care about the lighthouse. The sand is really white and the sunset is just mesmerizing. We visited this beach twice and both time we were speechless how beautiful it could be.

Nikki Beach
There is a nice bar there, however we only been on the small beach next to it. Bring your snorkeling mask as there is a coral reef in the water.

Rockley Beach
We reached this beach after a 15 mins storm, but it couldn’t stop us. The water was warmer than the temperature outside so we went for a sunset swim.

Freights Bay
This beach is not suitable for sunbathing, but for surfing. There is a surf school and the panorama is amazing, so if you would like to learn surfing I would recommend this beach to try – you can find the surf school who teach here on Instagram.

South Coast
Crane beach
The beach was very close to our first accommodation. However it’s located the south coast, it was full with seaweed. When we were there, they had construction works, with a crane – how ironic. 😀

Foul Bay
This was my favourite beach on the east/ south coast. We visited this beach twice as well. However there is no way you can swim here because of the waves, it’s totally worth for a visit. You can walk along the beach or hide between the trees in a hidden passage.

Atlantic Ocean
Harrismith Bay
You can reach the beach by walking down on a staircase. Unfortunately it was too windy for us to stay long, so we only walked around and headed to Bottom Bay.

Bottom Bay
Bottom Bay is quite famous by the tourist. Still not recommended to swim here, but it wasn’t that windy. If you go to Barbados from London – Gatwick airport, you will see a big photo of this beach. You want to be there immediately. Also, you can try the local “pina colada” made in a fresh coconut. What else can I say? Everything is just perfect for an Instagram picture. 🙂

Sam Lords Castle beach
Sam Lords Castle was a hotel, but it burned down ~10 years ago. Still worth a visit as the garden and the beach is very beautiful. It’s not that easy to find this place, but worth to try, believe me.

Shark Hole
I was really sad, that we only visited this place on our last day, just couple of hours before our flight. It was really close to our first accommodation. The beach is very hidden and very small, but as you can see it’s covered with rocks, so it is not wavy at all. If you visit Barbados, don’t miss this gem!

Conset Bay
This was our beach. Yes, our second accommodation had a beach – ah can I go back?! The owner of the house told us it’s quiet safe to swim here but unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed here too.
If you would like to have a quite place with their own beach, I would really recommend this house. I will happily share all the information. 🙂

Bathsheba Bay
The last beach on the list. This beach is perfect for surfers but maybe we saw the most seaweed here.

I hope you enjoyed this beach tour in Barbados. All the notes and information are valid for only winter times – we’ve been there in January. Summertime the ocean is more calm and warmer so you might be able to swim in every mentioned beaches.
Unfortunately the pictures can’t give back the actual colors, most of the time I could not believe to my eyes. The water was turquoise blue everywhere and all I could do is stop/ sit down and join the moment.
